Wildflower Counseling & Coaching is growing, and we are looking for compassionate, motivated CIT/PLPC clinicians to join our practice in Arnold, Missouri.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career counselor who wants to build a private-practice caseload while receiving the supervision, support, and infrastructure needed to continue developing as a clinician.

What Wildflower Provides

Clinical Supervision Included

Required clinical supervision with a Missouri-approved LPC supervisor is provided to Wildflower CIT/PLPC clinicians at no additional charge.

Supervision is supportive and collaborative while also providing direct feedback, accountability, clinical development, and opportunities to strengthen professional identity.

Flexible Scheduling

Clinicians have flexibility in establishing their schedules and caseloads based on client needs, office availability, and supervision requirements.

Daytime, evening, and weekend availability may be offered.

Professional Office Space

Clinicians have access to professional counseling space at our Arnold, Missouri location.

Hybrid Practice

Clinicians may have opportunities to provide both in-person and telehealth counseling based on client needs and applicable clinical, legal, insurance, and licensing requirements.

Billing & Insurance Support

Wildflower manages billing and insurance processes, including claims submission and insurance eligibility and benefit verification.

Credentialing Support

Wildflower provides applicable credentialing support for insurance panels that allow participation based on the clinician's credential level.

EHR & Practice Management

Clinicians receive access to Wildflower's HIPAA-compliant SimplePractice system, including:

  • Client scheduling

  • Appointment reminders

  • Clinical documentation

  • Treatment plans

  • Secure client communication

  • Telehealth

  • Billing and invoicing

Professional Community

Clinicians have the opportunity to work alongside other mental health professionals in a supportive private-practice environment with opportunities for consultation, connection, and continued professional development.

Compensation

This is a percentage-based independent contractor compensation model.

Specific percentage and compensation details will be discussed during the interview and contracting process.

Based on current private-pay and insurance reimbursement rates, clinician compensation is expected to range from approximately $40–$65 per completed clinical hour/session.

Actual compensation may vary based on payer reimbursement, service provided, session type, client payment, and other applicable factors.

Clinical Responsibilities

Clinicians are responsible for providing ethical, compassionate, and clinically appropriate counseling services within their training and demonstrated areas of competence.

Responsibilities include providing counseling services to assigned or established clients; completing assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other required documentation; finalizing clinical documentation within 48 hours of services; maintaining accurate and HIPAA-compliant client records; participating consistently in required weekly supervision; seeking consultation promptly when clinical, ethical, safety, or legal concerns arise; conducting appropriate risk assessments and following established crisis procedures; maintaining professional boundaries; and complying with applicable Missouri licensing requirements, professional ethical standards, and Wildflower policies.

Clinicians are also expected to actively participate in their professional development and demonstrate openness to feedback and continued clinical growth.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must:

  • Hold a Master's degree in Professional Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, or another qualifying counseling program.

  • Hold or be eligible for appropriate Missouri CIT/PLPC status before providing counseling services.

  • Be working toward Missouri LPC licensure.

  • Maintain professional liability/malpractice insurance.

  • Meet applicable Missouri requirements to provide counseling services under supervision.

  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrate empathy, professionalism, reliability, and sound judgment.

  • Be receptive to supervision, feedback, and continued professional development.

  • Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.

  • Complete required clinical documentation accurately and within established timeframes.

Preferred Qualifications

Successful completion of a graduate counseling practicum/internship is preferred.

Experience in private practice, outpatient mental health, community mental health, or another clinical counseling environment is beneficial but not required.

We are particularly interested in clinicians who:

  • Enjoy working with adolescents and/or adults.

  • Want to develop a private-practice caseload.

  • Value collaboration and clinical consultation.

  • Are comfortable asking questions when they are uncertain.

  • Want to continue developing their clinical skills and professional identity.

  • Have some evening availability.

  • Are interested in becoming a long-term part of the Wildflower team.

Schedule

Scheduling is flexible and may include:

  • Daytime appointments

  • Evening appointments

  • Weekday appointments

  • Weekend appointments

  • In-person counseling

  • Telehealth counseling

  • Hybrid scheduling

Clinicians will work with Wildflower to establish a consistent schedule that meets client needs and supports development of their caseload.

Independent Contractor Position

This opportunity is structured as an independent contractor (1099) relationship.

Contract clinicians are not employees of Wildflower Counseling & Coaching and do not receive employee health insurance, paid leave, retirement benefits, or other employee benefits.

Specific terms regarding compensation, scheduling, administrative support, supervision, and the independent contractor relationship will be outlined in a separate written Independent Contractor Agreement.
